Precision
Exactness is not a finishing touch applied at the end; it is decided in how a thing is built. We are unusually patient about the distance between working and working properly.
Restraint
Most ideas are refused. What survives has earned the room it takes, and carries no weight it does not need.
Longevity
We build software meant to run for many years, and we go on supporting what we have published. That intention changes every decision taken before it.
Discretion
What our software learns about a person belongs to that person. We treat that as a constraint on the design rather than a line in a policy.
